Private, gentle and endlessly thoughtful — our children were as captivated as we were. Every day was paced perfectly.

Our guide felt like a friend by day two. The Tiger's Nest at dawn, a farmhouse lunch, a hot-stone bath — moments we still talk about.

We saw the cranes circle the monastery in Phobjikha. Then dinner by candlelight above the valley. Bhutan, done properly.

Every permit, every detail — handled. All we had to do was be present, which in Bhutan is the whole point.

Unhurried is exactly right. We never felt rushed, never felt like tourists — just guests of a country that took us in.
